CRN:
Skype, the fast-growing Internet-based voice over IP service, appears to be sizing up the small and mid-sized business space. The Luxembourg-based company, which eBay aquired last month for $2.5 billion, has begun advertising for a „Skype for Business“ product manager that would, among other things, „lead a cross-functional team to scope Skype’s business functionality.“
A move into the SMB space would fall in line with remarks by eBay CEO Meg Whitman, who said when the online commerce company first announced its bid for Skype: „By combining the two leading ecommerce franchises, eBay and PayPal, with the leader in Internet voice communications, we will create an extraordinarily powerful environment for business on the Net.“
Kohle für die Markterschließung hätten sie ja genug 🙂
