in english:
global campaign Free Burma
The idea by Dario/Italy „stop blogging for Birmania“ should have reached the tipping point and the message is now spreading globally by itself, outreaching by far the core netareas Italy, Germany, Swiss and Austria, where the campaign „Free Burma“ was home-grown first, by countless helping hands. Its hard to tell if it will grow until October 4th (the day of action, see our mutlilingual Wiki) very big or not. Since the Uberbbloggers like Robert Scoble and BoingBoing dont have reported about it yet. But Loic has responded right now to my message (during im writing this blogposting) and he will help us too (he is one of the global uberbloggers with many contacts in different countries). Tariq, founder of Netvibes will possibly help us too (why do im telling you this about Netvibes? To make it clear that its not just a thing for bloggers;). But even now there are so many helping hands and participants (bloggers, webmasters, some medias, social networks, bulletin boards, ..) that it is to me an overwhelming success, what has happened in the short time since we launched Friday evening this campaign.
Just in short whats up at October 4th:
1. publish a posting (bulletin board, blog, social network, static website…) with the header: „Free Burma“
2. Tag it if you can with „Free Burma“
3. choose a grafic from „Free-Burma.org“ (multilingual too)
4. link to „free-burma.org“
there your readers will find some informations about the campaignand Burma, you will find a participant list which you can join. Even if youre a webmaster of a bulletin board, you will find a special group participant list
5. feel free to write any additional text you want
6. optional: stay tuned, maybe there are some more news and activities (especially with the radio station Democratic Voice of Burma, many Burmese people listen to in Burma, but thats not sure for now… be patient:)

Whats next
There are many voice too, which are asking about the significance of the action regarding our „lack of real power“ to help the people in Burma. And signaled that there are many more problems we should care about. Yes, thats absolutely true, that we should think it further. All i can say about that aspects: learn and accept that the growing network of the humankind by the internet is making more and more things possible, visible and real. That we can take care for each other, so use this growing, quite young networking powers. We learn with each action how to connect each other better, to synch our believes -dont want to be pathetic but cant find more pragmatic words- for a better world. Regarding our so called lack of real power: real power doesnt come from misuse and raw forces backed by weapons, money and political forces by the governements, the jurisidiction and excecutive forces like the police (sometimes its misused in different countries, sometimes not). Real power comes from the common understanding of humanity and respect how each one wants to live his life in peace unharmed by raw forces and respect in which gods he believes, real power commes from a common sense that the internet can combine our believings. The internet connects us. Real humans, not virtual beings. That is real power, it comes from our peaceful minds and hearts, not real powers we usually understand, which are controlling and harming people all around the globe, forcing them to live their lifes not by their free will. And to be very clear: it is a matter of fact, that we all are very different, there is not one humankind. The growing power of individuals by the internet wont save us from future problems, but with time -and i mean a long time schedule- we will learn how to understand others/us better, respect each others, live with each other better and use our real webpower to make things possible on even a global scale which was impossible in the 20th century. That was happening, is happening right now and the long term development will continue. More i cant say, im an old role model and i have no real answers (in means of „do excactly this and that“), just a believe that it is possible, that this, what we do now, will help a little yet and will help in the future. Im not a mastermind, there are so many out there, listen to them. Im just using this possibilities which the global net gave me:)
and now something very personal, forgive me, even if its a very serious campaign with a very serious background, im looking at things sometimes from a more „humorous“ aspect of view. One day the whole internet will sing a peaceful Haka in a common understanding of humanity, respect and peace, so every enemy and friend of war and brute force will fear our united Haka of one billion voices. Whats a Haka? Something like this (dont misunderstand it, this is just a video of a rugby game):
In the meanwhile there are bloggers right now gone underground, fearing for their lives and freedom, Times Online – Bloggers who risked all to reveal the junta“s brutal crackdown in Burma:
Now Ko Latt and his blogging comrades have abandoned their keyboards and gone underground, sleeping in a different place every night, watching and waiting to see if the democracy movement has been truly crushed or is simply on hold. „When things were hot on the streets, we were not the main worry,“? Ko Latt says. „But as the situation cools down, they will follow us. They know who we are, they know we are bloggers, and I am afraid.“?
support them the right way, publicity will save their lifes. What is your concrete and wise advice?
